BIP100 is a small business community of passionate and committed experts, hand-picked from thousands of conversations and applications that we, Thomas and Penny Power OBE, receive to join our community.
Together, as an international business community, they all work together to manifest a stronger business world, one that commits to the growth of their clients and the knowledge that the sector holds.
As a community they come together on many projects, collaborating on the creation of books, speaking, tenders and, critically, spreading the belief that ‘Business Is Personal’ in all that they say and do in the business world.
BIP100 is a global business community that will never have more than 100 members. Together, through the intimacy, support, and commitment to the values of being in a community, each member grows in knowledge, financial and social capital. Members are called 'BIPPers', a term created by and for the community.
As the Leaders of this business community, it is our responsibility to curate the right people, build the right culture and constantly seek to inspire and provide growth opportunities. This might be through providing our 'Wellbeing' Sessions on a Tuesday to ensure members are mentally strong and do not become stressed or overwhelmed with modern life, or by providing constant new skills and thoughts to enhance the depth of knowledge the BIPPers have.
In addition, we seek out connections and speaking opportunities for BIPPers and constantly seek ways to grow the GDP of the BIP100 'country'.
The 'recruitment' of BIPPers is achieved in various ways. Through referral, through witnessing them in action at Conferences, through connecting on LinkedIn, through inviting them to our Private Dinners, held monthly in London, or through actively searching out the expertise that we lack within the community.
The decision to join BIP100 is made based on the open attitude of the applicants, their considerable dedication to their business clients and expertise, and their attitude to others. Thomas speaks to over 1500 'applicants' a year, through this join process. On a one hour Zoom exploration, the applicant and Thomas will discover if BIP100 is right for them. Thomas seeks 'experts' that are seeking a community and a sense of belonging to a group of like-minded, kind experts. BIPPers have a long term attitude to the community and feel a sense of personal ownership of the community and the success of all.
